Our Story
Our love story began 10 years ago when we were looking for a connection through online dating. We connected and as luck would have it, we lived only eight miles from each other.
The first time Amos asked me out to happy hour at Bonefish Grill I couldn’t make it due to work. The second time he asked me to dinner at Guiseppi’s Restaurant in Haymarket, VA, I made it, albeit late, again due to work. The conversation flowed but I left thinking maybe we can be “friends”.
We continued to go on dates and it was on our third date while we were touring his new townhome that, like in the movies, I looked across the room at him and something came over me. I have been hooked on him ever since. It didn’t take long for us to start spending time together going to the gym, sharing dinners and happy hours and traveling. We’ve traveled extensively to visit his lovely family in Rockingham, NC, to the beaches in Virginia, the Carolinas, to wonderful cities on the east and west coasts and even to faraway places like Mexico, Spain, Portugal and Hawaii.
It is our love for travel, food and sharing the same values, faith, along with weathering some tough times that keep us together.
On December 25, 2023 we got engaged in the kitchen of our home with Amos’s kids and their families (they were in on it) and my sister in Atlanta, GA on FaceTime. With everyone gathered he asked me to be his wife! Such a surprise! Some may say, it’s about time or why now? To that we say, now is the right time. It’s our season.
We are so excited to share our special day celebrating with family and friends. Thank you for embarking on this journey with us.
